Kevin  is a legend of Irish comedy. and this is a chance to catch his first solo show in many a year.

Kevin is a legend of Irish comedy. He was Fr. Cave  in Fr Ted, he wrote and performed in RTE TV's seminal satirical comedy programme Irish Pictorial Weekly. He wrote and performed on BBC Radio's The O' Show, has written for Alexei Sayle, and helped set up The Comedy Cellar - Ireland's first alternative comedy club. If you like comedy that is thoughtful, dark surreal and a little bit different then this is the show for you.

"Comedy on a different level" The Irish Times

Come and see a comic at the top of his game .

He has performed his stand-up all over the world, headlining,  from Shanghai to Dubai, from Kansas to Rome, from Holland to Finland from London to Cavan. He is a regular at all the major Irish Comedy Festivals and one of the few Irish comics to regularly play  Kilkenomics - the annual Kilkenny Festival that merges comics with economists and other money types.

WHAT TOMMY TIERNAN SAYS:

"Kevin Gildea is one of the last punk stand ups standing. To
me his material comes from a sense of exile that he refuses to
deny. Exile from consensus. He's both the audiences friend and
their enemy at the same time, refusing to make things easy for
them while at the same time being very silly and playful. It
seems to me that he's swallowed an "honesty to comedy" pill
and that he cannot betray the jokers doctrine. Undermine !
Undermine the world around you, the people in front of you and
most of all yourself. The hope is that we'll feel free at the end of
it but with Kevin as guide its hard to know whats up the road.
He is as unpredictable as he is willful. This is his time onstage
and he'll do what he wants with it.
He's fearless onstage, striding around like a Mancunian
culchie,a west of Ireland English Northerner. He's King Lears'
fool, saving the boss while mercilessly ridiculing him.
He's one of the most daring and committed comedians at
work right now. Brave, unafraid and compelling....and very very funny."

So come along!!!
